Reports states, the Government is taking action to sell the government lands existing in the north and eastern provinces to the Southern Sinhala people and the troops. |
| The Land Reclamation Commission inform, opportunities will be provided for the public to purchase the government lands in these provinces. In regard to this a special working plan will be introduced. 30 thousand acres of government lands are identified in the Batticloa, Trincomalee and Mannar districts. Out of them many acres of lands owned by the public will be confiscated and sold for which government is attempting is according to information. |
