Police affirm complete security to the Vavuniya town

The businessmen from the Vavuniya Town were on a protest today morning until afternoon. Information states, the protest was held condemning the   abduction, ransom and theft incidents which are seldom occurring in the Vavuniya town. The Vavuniya Regional Senior Police Superintendent while meeting the businessmen gave assurance that a special police team has been assigned to investigate the incident and the offenders will be arrested within a week. The Vavuniya Government Agent and Vanni  Military Commanding officer too attended the meeting was according to sources.
